no place like home for the holidays

A few months ago (September 4th to be exact), Justin left for school at BYU Hawaii. Needless to say, we are all very excited for tomorrow morning when he arrives home for Christmas Break! This is the last time we saw him on the day he left:

prom 2010

The Timpanogos Prom was this past weekend, and the three Nickle boys living at home all went.

First, here's Bryson just before going to pick up his date. This was his first date ever! Do you like the second pic with the halo of flowers? We do.

Cute, cute Taylor. My mom and I went up to take pictures of her before Bryson came to get her. It was her first date as well!

Her twin, Taryn, came home to get something she forgot so we got a quick pic of the prom-twins together.

justin's january

January 2010 has really belonged to Justin, and rightly so. This month he turned 19, had his farewell {post coming soon}, we went mini-golfing as a family before he leaves, tonight he'll be set apart as a missionary, and tomorrow he'll be entering the MTC. The month belongs to him!

Trafalga's indoor course is now a glow-in-the-dark, black light course. Pretty fancy.

All in all it was a fun day. Braden, Suzie, and Melissa all got a hole-in-one on the 18th hole, so we won free tickets to the XD theater at Trafalga. Melissa gave her's to Justin so he could go with Suzie. She is SO nice. :)

southern voice

We have another (soon-to-be) southern missionary in our midst! Justin got his call today to the
Tennessee Knoxville Mission.
He leaves January 20, 2010.

Knoxville:His mission boundaries encompass part of Georgia and part of Virginia, where Melissa and Zander served their missions, respectively.

I guess- at least so far- the Steve & Melanie Nickle offspring are meant to be a Southern Voice.

And let's not forget, Grandma Nickle served her mission in the Louisiana Baton Rouge Mission. Southern all around!

Congrats, Justin! You'll be great.

As of today, Justin's mission papers are officially in. We are so excited, although it's hard to believe the time has actually arrived.
